A decade in York — and still building something worth coming back for
"A scratch kitchen, 164 hand-selected spirits, weekend brunch, and a microbrewery on the way — built by people who have spent their lives in this industry and care deeply about getting it right."
Stone Grille & Taphouse opened in 2016 with a simple idea: York deserved a place where the food was honest, the beer was interesting, and the bar was worth exploring. A decade later, under new ownership, we're growing into something more — the menu continues to evolve as we build a full beverage destination with a microbrewery on the way, an award-worthy spirits collection, and a team that genuinely cares about getting it right to earn your loyalty, one visit at a time.
Echo's Reserve wasn't an afterthought — it was built through hundreds of tastings, deep dives into the stories and provenance behind every bottle, and honest input from the whiskey and bourbon enthusiasts who would actually be drinking here. Every selection earned its place on that shelf. The wine list was shaped by someone who has made wine and managed wineries, not just purchased it. The beer program, launching soon through Auger Brewing, is built on the belief that a restaurant that makes its own beer — rather than a brewery that also has food — creates something fundamentally different.
Every program — spirits, wine, food — is built to help guests discover something new. We succeed when a guest leaves knowing something they didn't when they arrived.
The best part of a great bar isn't just what's on the shelf — it's having someone who can help you find what you'll love in it. That's what we're building toward.
We're not competing on the longest list. We're competing on the quality of what's on it — and on our ability to help you find what you love in it.

A guided spirit experience — three or four pours, a theme, and the context to understand what's in the glass. No two nights are the same.
Each pour 3/4 oz · Themes rotate · Led by our Reserve staff
Four single barrel bourbons, side by side. No blending, no averaging — one barrel, one bottle, genuine variation in the glass.
Secondary finishing explored across bourbon and Scotch. The barrel that held the last spirit shapes what fills it next.
Same grain, increasing proof from 90 to barrel strength. A controlled progression that lets you hear exactly what proof contributes.
Four wheated bourbons, four producers. Wheat replaces rye — everything softens, nothing is lost. The most approachable flight on the list.
A rye progression from America's oldest whiskey brand to a heritage-driven craft collaboration. Spice is the structure — everything else is built around it.
One agave, four stages of maturation. Blanco to añejo across two oak philosophies — a linear study in what time and wood do to the same ingredient.
London Dry to 47 botanicals — a progression through the full range of what a botanical bill can do. Juniper is the foundation; everything else is interpretation.
Used oak to new oak to secondary finish to dual cask. The barrel is not a container — it is an ingredient. Four expressions that prove it.
Flights rotate. Sign up to find out what's on the board each week — before we open the bottles.
Scratch kitchen, craft cocktails, and house-cured salmon — the only brunch in York worth waking up for.
